Are LGV and HGV Equivalent?
Large goods vehicles are known as LGVs, and heavy goods vehicles are known as HGVs. Under UK and EU legislation, HGV and LGV permits are the same. Coverage will be provided for commercial vehicles with gross weights exceeding 3500 kg in both cases. Dropsides, tippers, refrigerated trucks, flatbeds, and other items can be included in this. The LGV and HGV Courses are identical. Between these two categories, there aren't any significant differences.
